First grade finished up their economics unit with an assembly line and pizza! We’ve been learning how to identify the differences between needs and wants, goods and services, and discovering the relationships between consumers and producers. We even spent a little time determining ways people might save or spend their money.

Cook/Custodian Position Union Star R-II School District is looking for a part-time cook/custodian for the remainder of the 2024 school year. NHS is hosting "Flamingos & Fedoras Fundraiser" in support of Layne & Carol Ann Krause, who recently lost their home in a fire. On February 1st join us in $1 Hat Day! If you would like to wear a hat bring $1 or wear pink. We will take a photo in support sporting Layne & Carol Ann. For Extra "POP", NHS will be selling Valentine Soda-grams from January 29th to February 9th! The out "Pouring" of Love will be added to donations from $1 Hat Day! See an NHS Member to order!

Our tournament games for tonight have been cancelled and forfeited. We will play tomorrow at 5:30 and 7:00pm. Stay safe.

There will be no school today due to very slick gravel and snow packed roads. This is AMI day #4.

We will be recognizing our Senior basketball, cheer, band and scholar bowl students January 30th.. Recognition will take place after the varsity basketball games.

Congratulations to Union Star High School Senior Kelly Clibon, who this morning signed her National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at the collegiate level for the University of St. Mary. Kelly's parents, coaches, and teammates joined the future member of the Spire volleyball squad to celebrate the memorable signing event in the USHS gymnasium. #GoTrojans #GoSpires
